Dog days of summer...
Let me tell you, summer can be exhausting...

Here are some more pictures of what went on in the month of Aug...
Still Tired...
A good nights sleep has become a thing of the past. Currently j has decided that 11, 2, and 3-5 are all good times to get up. I'm hoping he's going through what some call a 4 mo sleep regression. If you're at all curious about what I mean about sleep regression, here's a great link...

I think he's trying to roll over. While he rolls over front to back every now and then, he doesn't do it all that often and has never rolled from back to front. At about 3 he starts his fussiness and his half rolls back and forth for about an hour until I give in and bring him into bed with us because I can't take it anymore. Normally I bring him into bed at 5am so I try to hold out until then but sometimes, I just can't take it anymore.

4 mo stats!
25 inches long
15 lbs
We celebrated his bday with some shots :( He handled them like a champ, though!! Tonight, we start the rice cereal!!!....or maybe tomorrow because I have to sterilize the utensils :)
Staycation...
Little visit from gramps in the beginning....

more play time in the exersaucer

We took a trip to the zoo.

where j looooves the acquarium (let's face it, it's like a giant tv)

We decided to visit the Powell street sale where it fast became lunch time. j and I sat and waited while T went to get us lunch....which took FOREVER....which j wasn't happy about

and I got bored so started to play with the camera...(I look scary)

But, thankfully T didn't abandon us for life and all was good again.

That's not all we did but, all that I have pictures of. We went out to lunch a few times, where j is a hit with the ladies, and basically T got to experience life as a stay at home mom. Exciting. I'll admit, I miss having daddy around!

Happy 30th TT!

We're hosting a little get together for TT's 30th bday. T's been prepping the food and I've been working with j on napping in the crib. (It's going well. He's only doing half hour intervals but I guess you have to start somewhere.) The bbq should be fun. It's always fun with the Schoenings and the Sprechers. Makes me miss my college friends, though. I don't think I've ever had them all over for a bbq. Maybe one day! I can't believe everyone is turning 30. I remember graduating college and thinking 30 was so far away. Here I am now with a husband, a baby, no job and a mortgage. I remember the crazy times in Adam's Morgan and at Pizza Mart. Now cc is in Chicago and Meg is in Cali. I'm in OH. Friends have come and friends have gone. Yikes.

Crazy Days
j played in his exersaucer for the first time...

He found a new friend...

And learned how to surf with daddy....
First you paddle...

Then you hop on the board!
