Bye Bye Bubble

OK. I know that I've been reeeaaaalll quiet BUT, we've been on vacation. The week before vacation, I spent getting ready for vacation so I was busy cleaning, packing, appointments and just trying to get stuff done.

Then came vacation. Sigh. We needed it. It was great. So sad it's over....but....the condo is waiting for us come March. As soon as Christmas is over, I'll start that countdown.

Here's our vacation in a bunch 'o pictures. I'm not lying. It's a lot of pictures. 30 to be exact. So yeah, I hope you have the scrolly ball on your mouse.

Our first day there was a bit cloudy.

OK. Maybe real cloudy.

We were kind of glad, though. Helped us ease into things.

jake found this love for seaweed.

He made sure I knew his love of seaweed, too.

Boys.

No matter what the weather, the beach is just so much fun.

Cuteness.

jake displayed his love of pointing and birds....a lot.

I can't believe how big he's getting.

We really only had one cloudy day. The rest was sunshine. I love the beach.

It took jake a little longer to discover his love of the beach.

Check out that shell fort he built with daddy.

Once you collect them, the natural next step is to throw them all into the ocean.

It took jake a couple of days to warm up to the waves. Can't blame him when all you can see is a wall of water heading towards you.

We hit up the pool a couple of times, too. Again, my kids likes to point....

The boys found time to enjoy "dada juice" as jake liked to call it. jake was not partaking in dada juice.

Our last day at the beach... :( ...check out how different it looks from our first day. A ton of seashells and seaweed washed up on shore. jake loooovveed throwing the shells.

jake did warm up to the ocean. He called the waves "bubble". He loooves bubbles and looooved watching the bubbles the waves made

Remember the love of seaweed?

Sometimes you just gotta have a conference with grammy.

I missed the joke. Oh, in case you're looking at grammy's sweatshirt and thinking it must've been cold. Ummmm, no. It was in the 80's the whole time we were there. Grammy just gets cold. We're lucky she didn't have her long underwear on at the beach.

jake soon discovered that you can point, throw things, and have a seaweed castle all at one time.

What more does a boy need?

Always make time for seashell hunting with grammy.

Oh, and don't forget to point the birds out.

We discovered jake really likes to play frisbee.

He laughed histerically.

Who knew frisbee was so much fun?

It was a good way to end our last day at the beach.

As we left the beach, jake said "bye bye bubble".

Go Diego Go!!

jake went trick or treating for the first time yesterday. He was so cute. Not that I'm biased or anything. Since I'm totally the best mom ever...need I remind you of last year's costume?...cause I totally will....I decided that jake would be Diego this year. Mostly because it was easy...and because I'm the best mom ever.

Don't forget the rescue pack.

Yes, jake, your candy bucket is only that big. You're only 18 mos.

Go Diego Go!

Trev telling jake what candy to get so he can eat it later.

Stupid steps.

Ummmm...trick or treat?

How can you not give all your candy to those brown eyes?

Ummm...can we just sit right here and eat my candy? Seriously, that's what he's doing. After he got the candy at the first house, he just sat down and wanted to eat it.

More stupid steps.

That looks good.

Quick to the next house.

I guess I'll hold his hand.

Are we really done?

Crap, I didn't lose a piece did I?

Can't believe it's over.

Wait, don't I get my lollipop?

Sweet.

I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!!

E-I-E-I-O

jake and I went to the farm with our mom's group on Friday. I myself am not particularly a farming kind of girl but, apparantly, my son is. He loved the farm.

First we went into the little greenhouse where there were some pretty flowers. :)

Our tour guide was great. She has a 2 year old of her own so she was great at talking to all the kids. We were able to eat some peppars and carrots right out of the ground since everything is organic.

She also told us about this little plant that tricks the buggies into not eating all the squash and other plants of the like. I kinda paid attention. Still. I thought it was pretty cool.

....and yes, before someone leaves a comment telling me about all the other plants in the world that do the same thing, I do realize that there are other plants in the world that do the same thing. As I said before, I'm not a farming type of girl.

Our next stop was the chicken coop.

jake really enjoyed the chicken coop. He loved it!

The other kids really enjoyed it, too...

Yup, she's actually holding one of the chickens!!

We moved onto the cows.

Then the goats and sheep. Did you know that llamas will guard sheep?? Crazy. They spit at you if you get to close. I didn't learn that from experience. I was told.

The goats started getting too frisky.

So we moved onto the pigs.

Barn cats.

Overall cuteness.

Until he tried to run away from me. I swear he's attached to me. It just seems like he's always trying to run away.

Checking out barrels.

Just lovin' the farm...

and the leaves. I need to take him to the mall or something so that we can talk my language.
